Project Glimpse
Cypress Elementary is a proud participant in the Project Glimpse Grant Program. The program’s mission is to empower the underserved gifted populations in our local school district. Through the power of simulations, we are able to create a personalized learning experience centered around five simulated students that represent a broad range of gifted abilities. As part of the program initiative we facilitate school-wide enrichment clusters. Enrichment clusters are small groups of students and adults (teachers, staff, community members) who share a common interest or passion. These clusters meet on Wednesdays for 30 minutes to work on a real-world product, performance, or service.
Mr. Anderson’s Save the Sea Society Cluster worked on creative ways to protect our ocean.
Ms. Galarza’s friendship bracelet cluster worked very hard on creating bracelets to remind students of our PBIS SOAR expectations; Be Safe, Organized, Accountable and Respectful.
Ms. Duncan’s cluster used math, science, and reading to create, understand and follow cooking recipes.
