Principal’s Message
Dear Cypress Families,
Welcome to the first nine weeks of the 2025–2026 school year! We are thrilled to have your children back on campus and are looking forward to a year filled with growth, learning, and success.
As we begin the school year, we want to inform you that our PM1 testing window is now open and will run from August 18 through September 19. This important assessment helps our teachers identify strengths and areas for growth in ELA and Math, allowing us to tailor instruction and build strong, targeted lessons that close learning gaps and support every student’s success.
We’re also excited to share that our afterschool programs are up and running! If you’re interested in learning more about our 21st Century Afterschool Program, please reach out to Mrs. Waller for details on enrollment and activities.
School Safety
Please remember that student safety is our top priority.
- Students with walker tags have been given permission by you to walk home through the gate. These students will be released when the gate opens—we do not hold students at the gate to wait for parents.
- If you are picking up your child in the car loop, you must have an updated car tag displayed. If a car tag is not visible, you will be asked to go to the front office and show your ID before your child can be released.
We appreciate your cooperation in helping us maintain a safe and smooth dismissal process.
Our teachers are committed to keeping you informed and engaged in your child’s education. Communication is happening regularly through Parent Square. If you are not yet familiar with this platform, please don’t hesitate to call our front office at 407-344-5000 for assistance.
